Big Harry, Donna, Ursula, Yearlings, and Lily! - UPDATE August 21, 2017

Big Harry was finally spotted, we were told.  We’re waiting to personally confirm the sighting.  We were worried.Ursula & 4 cubsUrsula & 4 cubs

17-year-old Donna and her 3 cubs were at a feeding station today for the group to see.

12-year-old Ursula and her 4 cubs with teddy bear faces were at another feeding station where we also saw yearlings playing.

10-year-old Lily and her 3 cubs showed up after dark but made the day for the group.  They exclaimed that she is fantastic, and that she brought together so many for bears.  Lily walked about on patrol, ignoring people, even when we offered her food.  She has a mind of her own.  Finally, when she was satisfied with the terrain (safety first) and her cubs were safe, she paused to eat.  Meeting this old friend that these participants have followed and recorded den watch data for posterity was the highlight of the course.
