Lily, Birds, and Fun - UPDATE October 5, 2015
Male white-breasted nuthatchLast night Lily and her 3 cubs showed up on a trail camera after being absent for a week.
The mallard picture didn’t make it last night, so here it is of the female of the left with the dark patch on her bill and the eclipse plumage male with the light olive bill. He’ll look better in the spring when he has his beautiful feathers back.
Mallard PairHere’s a better picture of the white-breasted nuthatch that started coming. He found a black oil sunflower seed that the bears missed. Males had the black crown. Females have a lighter crown.
Each Wednesday, starting October 7 Director Scott Edgett will be doing Live at the NABC at 1 PM, starting off with me as the guest. We always have fun together. Looking forward to it.
Live at the NABCThank you for the bear food contributions you are sending.
Thank you for all you do.
