Big HarryExcitement with the group and bears is keeping my mind off the appeal decision coming tomorrow. Among the bears we saw today, the two stars were Big Harry and Ursula and her cubs.
Ursulas cubBig Harry has always been nervous and shy, except where June was concerned. He stuck closely with June during mating season even when he was wounded by the bullet in 2008. This year, he is calmer, and he sat for a nice picture in the setting sun. Bear Course participants got better ones with their cell phones, but they are all busy checking for bears at this moment.
We just got back from a call that Ursula was at a feeding station with her cubs. Ursula was the sweetheart she has always been. It was too dark for many pictures, but one of her cubs paused for a shot before it disappeared up a big pine into the darkness. Cute.
Lily's cubs - 7/11/15Much going on at the Bear Center as things come together for the Grand Opening on Saturday at 2 PM. There will be much to be done after the Grand Opening and for years to come. It’s a work in progress with a great start. We’re thankful for all that Lily Fans have done, as LilyPad Picnickers will see.
