Lynx Tracks - UPDATE December 12, 2013

Canada Lynx - photo on fileCanada Lynx - photo on fileTed and Lucky are the same as yesterday. Actually, so is Honey who came out at the same time as she did yesterday. As left the den, some straw fell out, so she diligently raked it back in place.

It was an office day for everyone except Sue, who is in New England. Lynn was writing for publication when he wasn’t working on end of year reports and planning for the limited Den Cams.

Lynx Tracks - Dec. 11, 2013Lynx Tracks - Dec. 11, 2013The biggest nature news is lynx tracks at Nadine Long’s mailbox. Lynx aren’t often seen and it seems special that this one left tracks near the home of our Executive Director while we are developing exhibits, including a lynx exhibit, for the Northwoods Ecology Hall.

Web pages that offer information on the Canada Lynx can be found at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and the Minnesota DNR.

Thank you for all you do.
