Lily begins to roam

Lily begins to roam

April 29, 2010 – 7:39 PM CDT

On our walk in to Lily’s bed site today, we found an aspen sapling she had pulled down to eat the buds and leaves.  It was about the only aspen sapling in the area where she has remained for days.  With such a big food source available almost everywhere else in the forest, Lynn said, “Today is the day Lily and Hope leave this spot.”  A couple hours later, Lily and Hope did just that.  They moved to an aspen upland.

Hope - April 29, 2010Slowly and subtly, Hope’s face is becoming more mature as the photo shows.  New video footage of Hope feeding high in a birch will be posted at http://www.bear.org/website/lily-a-hope/den-cam-video-clips.html.

The DVD sample of Bearwalker looks better than we dreamed.  With a couple technical tweaks, it is supposed to go into production next week.  We can’t wait.  And you all have been waiting so long (very sorry).  Thanks for your patience.

Lynn is still reading birthday cards and feeling deeply grateful for all the kind words, donations, and presents.  “Unbelievable!” he says, “It’s never been like this!”  We’re both looking forward to putting faces with hearts and words at the Lilypad Picnic.

Thank you for your contributions.
