Bob Cat on Ice, Crows Pairing - UPDATE March 22, 2022
Bobcat crossing the frozen lakeAt 7:15 AM, I was surprised to see "Bob Cat" the bobcat crossing Woods Lake on the ice that is discoloring as the snow and some of the ice begins to melt. I don’t know much about where he goes when he is not showing up on the camera here as he did again a couple days ago. Nice to see him, but could he be the reason Pretty Girl didn’t come for her supper last night?
The crows are still in a flock, about 30-40 here, but some are pairing up and sitting tight together as if getting ready to nest.
Crow pair
Redpolls are still coming but only 2-3 dozen instead of a couple hundred.
I forgot to say which state had called off its spring hunt. It’s Washington. The groups I worked with there were Washington Wildlife First and Animal Alliance of Canada.
Thank you for all you do,
