Volunteers, Makeover, 56 degrees - UPDATE April 13, 2016
Today, the focus was on how important the many volunteers are to bear education. Volunteers make so much
Red Squirrel more happen than otherwise would be possible. Thank you!
As part of that, volunteer Patrick "Moe" McKibbage came up from Duluth with his video camera, along with a box of almond danishes, caramel rolls, and blueberry scones to make things happen. He, Director Scott Edgett, and the staff did a summary of how the makeover is progressing—the Camping Exhibit, the beautiful exhibit platforms, and the log entryway.

Holly is venturing away from Lucky to get in front of cameras by the pond. With the temperature hitting 56 degrees F today and warmer days coming, the snow is melting fast. Soon, instead of seeing Holly’s silhouette against the snow, we’ll see her in detail against the dark forest background.
Out the window, turkey vultures are migrating through, and the other birds don’t seem as desperate for seeds. The main views are red squirrels on the deck and deer in the yard.
Thank you volunteers and thank you Lily Fans for all you do.
