Northwoods Ecology Hall on 7/18/15It was a day of meetings, so not a lot on bears.
It was also a day of encouragement as people at the meeting restaurant and the Bear Center paused to express their excitement about the Northwoods Ecology Hall—a great reflection on all that the staff and so many Lily Fans did to create that excitement.
A nice nature note is that a beaver dam I’ve watched for years is being remodeled after falling into disrepair. Two beavers were adding sticks to it as I watched without a camera from 200 yards away at dusk. The lodge is on private property which I pass on the way to work, so I should be able to see progress without the beavers being trapped or shot this fall.
Looking forward to the Black Bear Field Course starting Sunday morning.
