Trail Cams - UPDATE July 28, 2015
Cole and Ember on the right in 2013 - Could that be Cole in 2015?In the absence of radio-collars, we’re learning what we can from trail cams. Thinking forward to the Den Cams, we’re using trail cams to check use of dens. One showed Lily and her cubs checking it out. We’d love to get another winter from her.
Another trail cam, may show Cole. See what you think comparing what we captured with what we have for him from 2013.
At a trail cam that somehow got misaligned, Lily came along and straightened it out. Thank you, Lily. Perfect job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXB27pTa5GI
Bear walking up lane
Suddenly the bear is goneA Field Course participant was taking a walk and saw a bear approaching 75 yards ahead. What happened? The pictures tell the story. The instant the bear saw her it bounded off the road and disappeared. The blur in the second picture is the bear exiting. The bear was heading toward a community feeding site and was likely used to people at that site. So different from the story the DNR puts out about these bears.
Thank you for all you do.
