Moose in snowI was tied to the computer all day except for a few minutes when yearling Mike showed up out the window. I grabbed some of your hazelnuts and raw peanuts to see how he reacted to each. What did he say? He loved the hazelnuts and eventually ate the peanuts when there was nothing else. We know fresh raw peanuts with no shells is way more favored over roasted peanuts, but Mike said they still don’t come close to hazelnuts. What this leads to is that I am very thankful for all we have been getting thanks to you. They make a big difference in what we can do. I’m hoping that some of the trust turns into bears letting us install Den Cams if things go right with the appeal. Trying not to be overly hopeful. At the Bear Center, Peter and Ryan (who made the big habitat exhibit) are dressing up the platforms that will hold the moose, caribou, deer, and wolf in the Ecology Hall. The moose will be walking in snow with a spotlight on its head and the lighted aquarium behind him. Coming along.
