Bear Fun on a Hot Day - UPDATE December 14, 2014

June with cub - June 18, 2007June with cub - June 18, 2007Flashback to June 18, 2007...it was 85 degrees. Bears don’t sweat. June found a cool pool in a shady cedar swamp but overly playful cubs (Lily, Cal, and Bud) ruined her restive moment as shown in the 85-second flashback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twg2nLCzpxA.  Of interest again is how the bears behaved with reckless abandon ignoring Sue with the camera practically in their midst. They didn’t engage her in play. They weren’t the least bit shy. They basically ignored her and gave us all a glimpse into their daily lives of bears being bears.

Honey stretching her legsHoney stretching her legsAt the Bear Center, with temperatures in the high 30’s F for the last 24 hours, Honey stretched her legs and stood looking at the melting snow.

At Holly’s den, the flutter of wings(?) startled her awake as seen in this 49-second capture of the moment by a Lily Fan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRCslwelPOg&feature=youtu.be.

Thank you for all you do.
