Getting Ready – UPDATE February 6, 2014

Juliet Juliet  On this 14th day of their lives, Juliet’s cubs are mostly under her and out of sight.  Their eyes will stay closed for another month, and then the major activity will start.

Holly is buried as has become the norm for her.  We’ve never seen another bear bury themselves in bedding.   The only bear we’ve ever seen do something similar was buried under snow as we told about in the Update for November 13, 2011 at http://www.bearstudy.org/website/updates/daily-updates/1454-lilys-den-snow-and-a-dilemma-.html.

Juliet and cubJuliet and cubWe are seeing your wonderful testimonials of how much the Den Cams have meant to you and how you wish we were still allowed to broadcast them.  We echo those sentiments and thank you for your words of support.  Restricting people from learning is contrary to everything we believe in and anything that makes sense.

Juliet and cubJuliet and cubWith the hearing on our permit less than 3 weeks away, we have been busy preparing documents.  The 8-day hearing will be at the Office of Administrative Hearings, 600 North Robert Street in St. Paul Minnesota.  It will be in the Skjestad Room on the second floor and is open to the public.  We are looking forward to this opportunity to finally speak out.

Thank you for all you do.
