IBA Conference black bear mounts The bears are in good hands. Mike and Lorie are 'holding down the fort' at the Research Center while we attend the IBA Conference in Provo, Utah. They report that Juliet is still in her den and Star and Fern are accounted for. We have been monitoring the 6 GPSed bears ourselves from Provo.
We're surprised and pleased to see Aster covering so much ground. She's still hobbling from the bullet wound to her left front leg, but she's getting around well and we're hopeful for a recovery.
Jewel appears to be settling down and we wonder if she has a den near her current location.
The IBA Conference presentations have been informative and we are networking with old friends and making new ones. Our presentation on den behaviors is tomorrow morning.
Thank you for all you do.
