2011 Lily-Hope-Faith-Jason Den CamAlthough there will be a delay installing the den cams, we’re looking forward to the best views into dens yet. From everything we hear, the new high definition IP cameras will be worth the wait. We’re hoping schools have big screens to watch Lily with her cubs and Jewel and with her yearlings. We hope Lily gives us all a good view when she gives birth. We’re anxious to see how her birthing date compares to her previous dates of January 22, 2010 (Hope), and January 21, 2011 (Faith and Jason).
We’re proud of what the Bear Facts and Fun Team have been coming up with for Lily the Black Bear’s Facebook page. There is a link to the Facebook site at the top of every page of bear.org. The BFF Team has been putting together good, factual, well-written pieces on interesting subjects and posting two new ones per week. This is exactly what we like to see on the pages—interesting education along with the fun.
We’re grateful for the many expressions of support we’ve seen in the last couple days. You’ve buoyed our spirits and helped us refocus. With your support, we are moving forward, the building is progressing, the two den cams are in the works, and the all-important educational mission will be stronger for the future.
