Waking to a Winter Wonderland - UPDATE February 9, 2020
Banjo the mink made an appearance at 11:47 AM, peering out at the fresh snow tracked by deer going past her hole. Mink BanjoI suspect that when it is wicked cold, she is protected by 2-3 feet of insulative snow and feels mainly the ground temperature that is probably not far below freezing. The hole is near the bottom of the steps going up to the second floor deck that she visited at least three times for bologna today.
