Out the window, a male ruby-throated hummingbird flashed his iridescence to the camera. Not to be outdone, a common grackle did the same.
The herring gull named “8 & 4” showed me how hungry he was when he pecked the window by splashing saliva on it. A woodchuck later came to the same spot.
2-year-old Lucy ignored it all. She had her sunflower seeds, and she was happy.
