Lucky, Holly, RC, Samantha - UPDATE May 23, 2017

A Lily Fan captured two 1:09-minute videos of Lucky shredding Ted’s log https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtMfLTFtRls and Lucky and Holly having a nice encounter Ethel, Samantha's yearlingon the cedar pile https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAVsSGIdzRg.

RC’s two yearlings Rambler and Ohio were seen alone this morning at 7:30 AM, so RC is apparently off mating or laying down scent trails. We’re on the lookout for RC’s yearling Valentine to clarify the mystery of her disappearance.

Samantha’s yearlings are paying visits. Lucy and Ricky came together last night and spent the night up one of the big white pines. The other female, Ethel, came 40 minutes later and spent the night up a different big white pine. Females don’t hang out with other females. Today, another yearling that we suspect was Fred appeared briefly. Peggy was keeping records and snapping pictures by flashlight. The picture shows Ethel on her branch at 2:40 AM.

One Black Bear Field Course opening is left. It’s in the August 6-9 course.

Thank you for all you do.
