Hope defecated on her own!

Today, we checked on Juliet after her big move away from her den and counted all three cubs. We tried but failed to determine their sexes. Lily and Hope continued moving and we watched as Hope defecated on her own without assistance from Lily. Video footage of the momentous event is processing—and, yes, we collected the scat! June and her yearlings rested all day but made another significant move this evening. June seems intent on covering her territory. Braveheart and her yearlings mostly rested today.
We're working to upgrade the Bear Center webcam to streaming video. The current DSL service is not sufficient so the phone company will install higher speed DSL (6 MB) on Monday. A new video camera has been ordered and we hope to have streaming video of Ted, Honey, and Lucky by the end of next week.
Today we happened to meet Don MN Jay and he is a sweetheart, as someone said.
