This first video is of Holly visiting Tasha on April 10 and includes Tasha in her bunker den putting her paw out through a small hole toward Holly. I wish I could read their minds. See what you think. Last of the snow gone from the beaver lodgeLast of the snow gone

This 14:37-minute video with Scott and Spencer from today summarizes Bear Center plans for opening, fencing, bear enclosures, nature trails, an interactive website, and interns. It is also about missing Ted. https://www.facebook.com/NorthAmericanBearCenter/videos/1473165533089875

Pine siskinPine siskinAt the WRI, the story for tomorrow, if a bear doesn’t trump it, is about big birds in action. Through the morning, it was 40 crows, the raven, three eagles, and a turkey vulture interacting. A little misdeed today was a pileated woodpecker who forgot to comb his red crown feathers. This afternoon on this beautiful, warm (70°F) blue-sky day included the moment when the last snow melted off the beaver lodge.

Thank you for all you do,
Lynn Rogers, Biologist, Wildlife Research Institute and North American Bear Center
