Tasha, Color, and Action - UPDATE September 28, 2020

Color
"Taught" caught Tasha wandering in the viewing area without a den. Holly is in the den Tasha dug, and Holly is not budging last I heard. The bears will let us know what to do next. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8JtWfSkIyc

The forest floor is turning red in some spots and yellow in others as leaves cascade down. With red leaves dropping, the vistas are mainly yellow and gold as shown in our favorite vista about a mile from the WRI.

Action in the sky these days is from migrating sharp-shinned hawks chasing blue jays and crows. Crows are three times the weight of these hawks, and I’ve never seen them catch one. Could they be chasing them for practice? The sharp-shin pictures are of an adult male outside the window watching for an opportunity, focusing on a blue jay, and diving into a chase. The blue jay escaped as usual.

Thank you for all you do.
