Scarlet Tanager in fall plumageWe don’t believe any bears were taken near here today. We’re crossing our fingers for tomorrow, taking things day by day.
A small highlight today was seeing the scarlet tanager again. Although it was at the sunflower seed heart pile, a close-up photo showed that it was actually eating a moth, which is more what they are known to eat—more so than seeds.
We’ll rest easier tonight.
Thank you for helping the bears with your donations for food.
Thank you for all you do. Lynn Rogers, Biologist, Wildlife Research Institute and North American Bear Center
