It was a wonderful day. Nice phone calls. Nice emails. Nice cards.
I am so thankful for so many friends brought to me by the bears. It wasn’t perfect, though. My cell phone battery died in the middle of a call, and when I got to a charger, I found that I had missed some calls. But then there was another treat. Donna and I went out for dinner (drive through at Dairy Queen—a chicken wrap and a small hot chocolate pecan sundae to split) and then went to the WRI where the mink named Stripe and the gray fox put on a show. Donna took over the feeding so I could write this while hearing her excitement with the visits.
A nice fun day at the right speed for an 80-year-old, but no bears yet.
Back to work tomorrow.
Thank you for all you do.
