A news broadcast was scheduled for tonight about the bear attack but it got pre-empted by a shooting somewhere. Maybe Monday. More when we know.
Big buck and buck with
broken antler being friendly
The broken-antlered deer that puts his head down and chases so many deer away also has some friends. He is friendly to a fork-horned yearling, a doe, and the big 10-point buck. 
Big buckWhen it was too dark to see who was who with the naked eye, the camera managed to focus and capture the situation with a little brightening on photoshop. The shutter speed is so slow in that light that any movement is a blur. The big buck held still to show us who he was, and he had a moment of stillness in his interaction with the broken-antlered deer that showed what they were doing.
