Whole Nother Look - UPDATE October 27, 2017

Mother nature made a big change of scene overnight. The waterfall at the Bear Center shows it best.Waterfall first snowWaterfall first snow

It wasn’t that cold at 28°F, but the wind made it seem that way. Blue jays at the WRI seemed to think it was cold the way they puffed up their feathers. Chickadees flitted around finding sunflower seeds, bits of beef fat, and whatever they found in the trees. On the ground, dark-eyed juncos and juvenile white-crowned sparrows favored weed seeds.

Bears are not coming every night, but a yearling did make an appearance last night.

Thank you for all you do.
