With hunting officially over on this first day of bear-hunting, we don’t know of any bears being taken nearby. We have trail cams here and there try to get some idea of what is happening but are finding them covered with branches. 
Trail cam view Although the season lasts until October 15, there will be little bear-hunting in this area after September 17.
