Lucky showed how big a bear can yawn with that one!  Actually, aside from the yawn, play reigns at the Bear Center.  Lucky raking strawLucky raking strawHolly and Tasha are the item, and they play, play, play to the delight of visitors.  Lucky seemed happy to get some straw to rake into his den even though it is weeks before the bears will be slowing down.  Tasha and HollyTasha and HollyWe do know from watching June prepare a den on July 19, 2004, that bears can prepare a den when they have no intention of using it until months later.

In the woods, Donna was on high alert in this area where two wolves were hanging out.  They were always ready to spring up this tree.  At times, Donna yawned while sitting out the danger.
