It was nice to be greeted by beautiful, gentle Crackle this morning. I first saw him backlit and knew immediately it was him. Back-lighting showed how bleached his old fur is, while front-lighting made him look overall darker.
A picture by Karen Hicks from yesterday shows how nicely Ursula’s face is marked and how rich the color is on the sides of her muzzle.
On the pontoon ride today, young mergansers showed us they could fly and the running start they use for take-off.
