A Time to Celebrate - UPDATE July 4, 2017

A new feature on Lily the Black Bear’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lily.the.black.bear is a video header that will change fairly frequently. Flag at the NABCRight now it is a glimpse of when Jewel was a cub on June 21, 2009. She’s the one on top (the cub whose eyebrow patches are close together) playing with her brother Jordan while June looks on and sticks her nose in the picture a bit.

It’s the Fourth of July with two things to celebrate—our liberty and the fact that Donna made it back safely from Colorado and fun with the kids and grandkids which I’ll hear all about this evening.

At the Bear Center, Holly and Tasha had another day of fun together, like yesterday. Ted is back using the window den like he did years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJdWhTtryXg. Maybe he likes the convenience of having the pond, his log, and scattered food all nearby. We’ll see what he does.

Out the window, and around the area, more bears are showing up. Looking forward to the Black Bear Field Courses that start on Sunday and the LilyPad Picnic that starts on July 21 with a dinner here with the bears and 6 visitors. There will be an online auction for these 6 dinner seats, very soon. Date TBD. Contact the Lilypad picnic planners for more info at: This email address is being protected from spambots.
