Holly, Tasha, RC and more - UPDATE May 8, 2017
A Lily Fan capture 2:34 minutes of pure play by Holly and Tasha, separately, in their pens at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hSwxZ-EI5o. Meanwhile, workers were redoing the wiring to the webcams.Holly playing I don’t know how it was possible to get the footage, but here it is!
Out in the woods, RC and her two yearlings and a bear that stayed in the background competed with eagles, ravens, crows, and turkey vultures for a beaver carcass. RC made a quick move toward a swooping eagle that then flew off. A turkey vulture flew over at treetop height. I don’t know why beavers are so attractive as carrion. We’ve seen that before with bears that walked past other carrion.
In New Jersey, a woman making brownies had a visitor. http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/multimedia/Bear-Visits-Back-Deck-in-Avon-421662643.html. I’d like to know her recipe. We don’t see that here even though we have the best bear food we can provide.
Thank you for all you do.
