THANK YOU! - UPDATE November 18, 2016
Thank you Lily Fans for hundreds of donations totaling over $32,000 to help youth learn the truth about black bears. Thank you for making this difference for bears.
Thank You!I have heard some of you couldn’t donate because of GiveMN’s glitches. If that is true and still want to, you can donate directly to the Bear Center at http://www.bear.org/website/how-to-help/bear-center-makeover-2016/donate-now-2016-bear-center-makeover.html
Quill came in wet last night and got on the scale—63 pounds. Could wet fur account for some of that gain? He then ate nuts and gobbled up 6 cups of formula
Soggy Quill between 11:35 PM and 12:07 AM. Soon after, the rain turned to snow and it snowed all day today. We’ll see if Quill will come back and leave tracks tonight in 8 inches of snow plus drifts.
The picture shows his fine, rotund form, which makes us want to thank Chris and Larry McCray (Lily Fans) for making, donating, and delivering the great formula that made Quill what he is.
Red squirrelNow, this sudden snow without any sign of dirt on Quill’s coat (from digging a den) makes us wonder what he’ll do, or what we could do.
Today was so windy that a red squirrel was nearly blown off the railing just as I snapped its picture to show snow blowing laterally past it on this gray day. Woods Lake is invisible.
Thank you again for what you did yesterday and for all you do.
