At first, she was torn between playing with the bowl and playing with Lucky. Then Lucky won out as is shown in the 2-minute video. The play was gentle. Three quarters through the video, Holly showed us her right hind foot, revealing that she has now removed her main foot pad, part of her heel pad, and four of her toe pads.
Out the window, a common redpoll male here from the arctic, posed so his red crown was obvious.
At the Bear Center, workers cut into the floor to lay electrical floor outlets for the new wooden exhibit platforms. This will eliminate wires coming down from the ceiling. Today they filled the trenches with cement. Notice that all the floor tiles are gone to make room for carpet to deaden echo of the nature sounds that will be playing. Echo could be a problem with all the carpeted exhibit panels being replaced by wooden platforms.
