Honey, Lucky, Holly - UPDATE January 21, 2016
Holly in her den 11/3/14Honey was plainly visible last night as she moved around in her Chalet in the infra-red light while mice scampered near the entrance https://www.facebook.com/toni.embree.50 /videos/1171909952841633
Today, 4 mice were visible with one of them climbing a balsam fir tree. The most arboreal of our mice is the Woodland Deer Mouse (Peromyscus maniculatus) that has a long tail. It moved too fast on the tree for me to see the tail, though. https://www.facebook.com/toni.embree.50 /videos/1171886476177314
In Lucky and Holly’s peaceful den, Holly went to the entrance to eat snow like Honey did yesterday. It took Lucky a minute or two to get moving, but he managed to take back his spot on the far side of the den that Holly took from him some time ago. Holly pragmatically settled into the bed Lucky abandoned. It didn’t look like there were any harsh words. Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EhhodEcZ8o

Speaking of dens, this picture of Holly (November 3, 2014) in the wild den she made her second winter here is a candidate for the upper wall over the viewing area windows where the four ambassador bears will be featured.
Thank you for all you do.
