All Calm - UPDATE September 12, 2015

Newborn garter snakeNewborn garter snakeThe hunter did not fill his tag last night at the bait 0.8 mile away. Tonight, a hunter is at a bait 322 yards from WRI (136 yards from the property line).

We checked our records. Lorie weighed 129 pounds on September 1 when she was killed.

At the Bear Center, we released the newborn (6.75 inch) garter snake that delighted children the last few weeks. Except for some I saw back in the early 1970’s, this is the only newborn garter snake I’ve seen, so I had to take a picture.

Through the outside microphone, I can hear a bear in the water right now.

Thank you for all you do.
