Faith - August 10, 2015I made a mistake on September 1 saying Lorie was safe and sound. The trail-walker who took the picture I posted took the last picture of her at 4:02 PM. Lorie stayed for awhile after that. I didn’t notice when she left and was wrong that she was okay, as you know. Yesterday, when Mike and Lorie (human) and the group compared our pictures of known bears with pictures from Guide Todd Larson’s web site, they recognized Lorie. They also recognized Keefer as the bear the guide’s wife took the evening before (on Tuesday, September 8).
Thank you for the bear food checks you are sending to 1482 Trygg Road, Ely, MN 55731. Much appreciated and much needed so bears come to safe feeding places they are used to visiting rather than to hunters’ baits. Lily, Faith, Ursula, and Bow and their cubs were all seen at safe feeding sites the last couple days but no pictures. The picture of Faith is a month old. She looks so much like Lily.
We are still aiming to place Den Cams. There is so much more to be learned.
