Boy Scouts and Bears - UPDATE August 2, 2015
UrsulaAt the Bear Center, we were glad to see a big troop of boy scouts among the visitors. They were there for a special program in addition to seeing the bears and exhibits.
In the study area, community feeders called in sightings for Black Bear Field Course participants to come see. Sightings included Donna and her 4 extra cute little cubs watchfully coming
Ursula's cubsdown a pine and interacting with Donna, Lily and her 3 cubs, Ursula and her 3 cubs, One-eyed Jack (always a privilege), Whacky, Big Harry, RC’s female yearling (treed by Lily), Jewel and Drew.
Boy Scouts visiting NABCA Lily Fan in the previous course named Ursula’s female cub Geneva after Gene Stratton Porter, a great naturalist/writer of a century ago. This cub is very recognizable by a big white patch on her chest.
Thank you for all you do.
