Course Preparation - UPDATE July 4, 2015
Ted on his logBetween bears, 10 volunteers helped us get ready for the Black Bear Field Courses that start tomorrow. The decks are pressure washed so no one slips and falls. The open areas are weed-wacked for better visibility. The floors and everything are scrubbed top to bottom. The windows are cleaner than ever for viewing as late into the night as people want to stay up. Outside lights with motion detectors will alert us as new bears enter. Sue has put together a presentation that I know will be excellent. Now it’s time for the old hermit Bearman to shave and look presentable. Much looking forward to the fun and excitement of the next 4 days. The misty morning bear photo is in an area we can quietly canoe and photograph if we want.
Bear in the mist - 7/1/15The photo of Ted from today is precious. It shows him on his familiar preaching log facing the 4th of July visitors like we have not seen for a long time. Usually he faces the woods. Maybe he is becoming confident that Lucky is in a pen when he is out, letting him finally be able to re-focus on the people like he used to.
Thank you for all you do.
