Progress - UPDATE June 25, 2015

Lorie, Moe, Mike, Scott, Charlie, Lynn, Glenn, Curt, BrandonParticipating partiesNew pictures going up. New pictures will give motorists some idea of what we are about. We’re replacing the old faded picture of Blackheart holding a cub on her knee with a simpler picture of beautiful Ted with every hair highlighted. The faded polar bear and brown bear are being replaced with new copies. Then 7 more pictures are going up plus the Bear Center sign for the end of the building. Progress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFcuxGntsyM

Inside, interns Erica and Nikki were getting their hands dirty getting one of the terrariums ready for local critters. The 3 terrariums will hold 2 snakes, 7 frogs, 1 toad, 2 salamanders, and a painted turtle, or as many of those as people can find. The snakes are redbelly and garter. The 7 frogs are wood, spring peeper, chorus, gray tree, leopard, green, and mink. The toad is the American Toad. The salamanders are the red-backed and blue-spotted.
