Cubs Galore! - UPDATE February 20, 2015

Juliet's cubsJuliet's cubs - February 20, 2014With temperatures edging up toward 40°F in the 10 o’clock hour, Juliet and her cubs gave us perhaps the best views we have had of her usual routines. The 7½-minute highlight video begins with a sharp look at Juliet lying calm and blissful as the cubs nurse. She raises her head but doesn’t move her body with all 3 cubs nursing contentedly and telling her to stay as she is. All the snow we saw in the den after the snowstorm is gone. Eventually, she yawned into the camera giving a brief view of the back of her mouth and then came forward to where some snow evidently remained to eat. After a brief bout of raking, she made the predictable toilet stop that follows eating snow. Although it is not that cold, the cubs protested when they were without any contact with Juliet as she backed over the edge of the bed. The video ends with Juliet snuggling down with the cubs, all now quiet.
