Back From Beethoven, Juliet Active - UPDATE February 15, 2015
Juliet and her cubs - January 15, 2014Valentines Day was a great time for Donna and me. We drove to the Twin Cities for a double date with our daughter Colleen and her husband Nick to hear and see Beethoven’s 9th Symphony wonderfully performed by the St Paul Chamber Orchestra. The prelude was love songs from that era performed by the orchestra and soloists—appropriate for Valentine’s Day.
Meanwhile, Lily Fans were having fun online with the fun and games surrounding the fundraiser for flowers for the bears. The flowers will double as habitat for pollinators which are in decline over much of their habitat. Thank you for your help on that. Looking forward to seeing the flowers blooming and the trees and berry bushes growing.
Tonight’s 10-minute highlight video from February 15, 2014, showed Juliet and views of the cubs mostly hunkered down in the wee hours of the morning with temps around 17° below F, and then active in the afternoon with temps around 14° above F. About a minute and a half into the video Juliet stood up, which is a luxury she has in this spacious den.

It was good to go and spend time with the family, but it is also good to be back. Can’t wait to see the progress on the Northwoods Ecology Hall.
Thank you for all you do.
