Honey and Leaves - UPDATE December 5, 2014

Honey's tongue marks in snowHoney's tongue marks in snowFor Honey, thirst was an issue today—about a month earlier than she came out for snow last year. Today, an astute Pond Chat Moderator spotted the action as Honey came halfway out of her den and began licking snow. She maneuvered the PTZ camera to grab a shot complete with time stamp. Later, staff snapped a picture of the unmistakable pattern of a bear licking snow.

Thank you for all you do.
