Volunteers, Interns, Calendars, and Grandkids - UPDATE November 28, 2014

Lynn Rogers with Heinrik and GabrielleLynn Rogers with Heinrik and GabrielleThe enthusiastic responses we’ve been getting from volunteers we’ve contacted lately and the applications from prospective interns who heard about the opportunity to work at the North American Bear Center are great to hear and see!

Add to that, the many orders that are coming in for calendars and merchandise, and it is a great Thanksgiving season. Lily Fans are there!

Gabrielle learning to identify treesGabrielle learning to identify treesAnd then today, little 3 ½ year old Gabrielle surprised me by asking if a big tree she was looking at is a white pine or red pine. I didn’t know she even knew those two names. So learning how to tell those trees by feeling the bark became the activity (along with selecting the perfect balsam fir trees to cut for Christmas trees).

A good couple days with family, including Gabrielle and 5-year-old Heinrik!

It looks like it will be Monday when we give Holly’s camera the ¼ twist to have her right side up. That’s the day Sue and I will also be signing hundreds of calendars. Thanks for your orders!

Thank you for all you do.
