Holly Getting a Den Cam - UPDATE November 25, 2014

Scott installing den camScott installing den camThe staff put a den cam in Holly’s den today. I don’t know how they pulled it off and especially how they found a way to support the PVC tube that holds the camera. It’s the first time they did something like this, and the camera still needs a quarter twist to the left to make Holly right side up, but it’s happening! What is incredible is the good color and sharpness in the high definition picture.

We’d like to give her a few more leaves to work with but all are snow-covered here. If a hard-working Lily Fan wanted to ship a garbage bag or box full of leaves to Holly at 1926 Highway 169, Ely, MN 55731, we could all watch what she does with them. So far, she has mostly aspen leaves. If anyone sends a bag or box, they may be different. Would pretty maple leaves add color to her den? If we get too many, we’ll let Honey make her den pretty, too.

2015 Calendars2015 Calendar CoversNot to jump the gun here, but the calendars are arriving tomorrow. The proofs looked spectacular a few weeks ago. It’s the biggest, bestest calendar yet—with eight extra 12"x12" pages of mostly pictures. Then the calendars themselves arrived. Someone had pushed a wrong button at the printers. We had to have them re-done. The calendar company figured out the problem, did a rush reprinting, and is shipping the first 500 air overnight tonight. The rest are coming by ground to arrive next week. The calendar company is to be commended for their response.

2015 Shadow's Clan Calendars2015 Shadow's Clan CalendarsLast night I forgot to say that the picture of Judy McClure was her looking happy after playing wonderfully for the big "Thanksgathering", but Lily Fans figured it out. No words necessary. Sometimes I’m guided by a guardian angel. But in case I forget to say Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow evening, I’m saying it now. And one thing we have to be thankful for is bears and how they have brought so many of us together.

Thank you for all you do.
