Mink at the WRIAt the Bear Center, Holly is still initiating play but is also settling down after to share some quiet moments with Lucky. It’s hard to imagine them not denning together this winter. We’ll all keep watching.
Mink at the WRIFern surprised us by showing up at the WRI and a feeding station over a mile away last evening. Either she hasn’t denned yet or she is making trips out from a den like Blackheart did from exactly a mile away in mid-September of 1999.
The only animal, other than blue jays, we saw at the WRI feeder today was a mink that peered out from under the scale and then came fully out to look around before someone scared it
Moon - October 09, 2014It is a day late and maybe a dollar short (after the eclipse) but the moon looked too beautiful in the sky to not share.
