Honey's rock denAbout 1:30 PM, Honey moved back to the rock den that looks picturesque under the fresh blanket of snow. Could she see how nice it looked from her wooden window den? It’s hard to know the mind of a bear. We’ve never seen spontaneous den-switching at this time of year in the wild.
Juliet and her 3 cubsJuliet and her cubs have been less active the last couple days in the cold. It was minus 20F this morning but got up to 24F above this afternoon.
Our friend Ray Bernard (RayCanoe) passed away today. Meanwhile, at the Bear Center he loved, Ray would have been happy that 55 Fifth Graders from St Paul were learning about bears. Students at Bear CenterThanks for all you’ve done, Ray.
Thank you all for all you do.
