Lucky after playing in snowLucky was feeling his oats today with exuberant activities that reminded us of when he was a cub rolling around in the snow. He made friendly overtures to Ted through the fence—even sticking his tongue out. He also put Ted on edge by breaking off the top of a 4-inch cedar next to Ted’s pen and chalet den.
Lucky makes friendly overtures to TedTed spent hours after that, half out of his den nervously looking one way and the other, reacting to any sound. Ted hasn’t shown much inclination to get out and roam in the snow like young Lucky does, but Judy Thon and staff are talking about rotating Ted and Lucky when the snow melts down.
Lucky broke down a treeIn Lily’s den, Ellie and Eli have not yet come to agreement on nipple ownership. They’re still fighting about it, which distresses Lily and causes her to blow and moan. Lily isn’t showing any more inclination than Ted is to get out in the snow.
Jewel & yearlings sleep with mic tubeJewel, Fern, and Herbie are playing and nursing as usual. They have the microphone lying in the den among them where we all could hear everything extra well—right up until Jewel dismantled and unplugged it!
Eli licks up snowWhat a great surprise for Lynn’s birthday. He heard today that the final total from over a hundred Lily Fans donating to the Hope Learning Center in honor of Lynn’s birthday was $6,671 in four days! 
LilyLynn says, “Thank you so much!” It was evident Lily Fans put their hearts into it. The only way we can show our deep appreciation in addition to saying ‘Thank You’ is to make the Hope Learning Center the best we can.
