Jewel paws ribbons - Jan 28, 2013 Do you remember the Game of 15—the sliding tiles game that you manipulate until the numbers line up sequentially? If so, you probably know the trick of tucking a tile into the empty space and moving the other tiles around until you can put the ‘tucked’ tile into its proper place. 
Jewel stretches - Jan 28, 2013 Well, today we watched as Jewel and her yearlings played the Game of 15—with Jewel standing patiently in the entrance until Fern and Herbie had settled in before she joined them. Close quarters in that den!
Jewel sleeps on cubs - Jan 28, 2013A crackling noise began today on audio from Jewel’s Den Cam. 
Work on the Hope Learning Center - Jan 28, 2013We’ve heard that sound from Den Cams in previous years when moisture got into the microphone. With today’s temps above freezing, that could be the problem here as well.
We heard snow falling from trees around the den, and one plop was close and perhaps on the mic. We’ll monitor the audio and if it doesn’t improve, a trip to the den may be needed.
At the Bear Center, work focused on the outside entryway to the Hope Learning Center.
