Hinckley Lilypad Gathering – UPDATE November 3, 2012
The Hinckley Crew - Nov 3, 2012
Donna & Lynn Rogers - Nov 3, 2012This year we took the plunge and attended the 3rd Annual Hinckley Lilypad Gathering. It was a first for us—and what an uplifting experience! Being among Lily fans at what has become an annual gathering organized by Sarah Zirbes, was about as enjoyable as it can get. It was like being among family. Feeling the support for bear education and research was energizing. Items in the silent auction brought back so many memories. The five hours of people connecting flew by way too quickly.
Lynn Rogers and Sarah ZirbesMeanwhile at the Bear Center, Lucky stayed in his den while Ted and Honey each came down to the viewing area for feedings. They foraged nicely a few feet apart then Honey left to reclaim the chalet den. Ted went back to the window den which he used earlier this fall. But shortly, Ted changed his mind and paid Honey a visit.
Fun times! - Nov 3, 2012No one saw what happened, but next they looked, Ted was in the chalet den and Honey was nearby blowing and clacking her teeth to show her feelings about it. Ted was inside whining as if to say “please?” That was the scene at dark. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.
Seeing so many happy lily fans connecting with each other and us today was a joy.
Thank you for all you do.
