Samantha and Shylow – UPDATE July 6, 2012

Samantha and cubs - July 6, 2012Samantha and cubs - July 6, 2012The mystery of the uncollared bear seen early Wednesday morning crossing Trygg Road with 3 cubs has been solved. Samantha brought her cubs to the Research Center this morning—3 beautiful light-faced cubs, 1 male and 2 females. The smaller female has the darkest face of the 3 and a nice chest blaze. They all are smaller than other cubs we’ve seen lately, but they look very healthy.

Shylow - July 6, 2012Shylow - July 6, 2012We saw 10-year-old Shylow, brother of Braveheart, for the first time this year. His mating range remains a mystery. Perhaps someone will recognize his picture and help us put the Shylow ‘puzzle’ together.

Samantha cub blaze 20120706Cub with blaze - July 6, 2012Both Ted Parvu and Jim Stroner separately tried to connect with June to change her GPS unit. Neither succeeded. Getting her back on the map is priority #1 for tomorrow.

Lynn’s computer is toast. Another is being configured now to get him back online as soon as possible.

Thank you for all you do.
