Cleaning Crew - June 30, 2012Lily’s Facebook Page was the home of laughter, games, and prizes as Lily Fans had a great time together. It started with a Rent-a-Tent FUNdraiser hosted by Michele Chartier and Dorothy Avery. It turned into a virtual party and over $2,000 for the Hope Education Building. Along the way, plans solidified to have the Lilypad Picnic Bonfire Gathering covered by a live streaming camera so participants can communicate with Lily Fans who were not able to physically attend. We are looking forward to the Picnic and meeting this group of fun people that the bears brought together. It was like a blast from the past.
Eagles Nest Community Presentation - June 30, 2012
At the Research Center, Lily Fans came to the rescue. With so few of us stretched in several directions lately, getting ready for the Black Bear Field Course by tomorrow looked impossible. Twelve Lily Fans led by Team Forward worked for 3 days, freeing us to prepare the PowerPoint presentation we made to the local community today. It was another case of Lily Fans doing whatever is needed to further bear research and education.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what Lily Fans do every day by volunteering in so many ways every day.
