Jewel - Jan 12, 2012As you know, the Lily Den Cam has been off-line this week due to an equipment failure. The replacement part has been configured and is being shipped today. Hopefully we’ll have Lily and Faith back online within a few days.
We are awaiting an antenna adapter for the Jewel Den Cam. Hopefully that will improve the cell signal and eliminate the halts in transmission we are experiencing. We plan to straighten Jewel’s Den Cam soon.

Jewel rakes up collar - Jan 12, 2012Today we received a call from the ‘A Prairie Home Companion’ radio program with questions about how the warm weather is affecting bears. They also expressed interest in the den cams. Garrison Keillor may say a few words about Jewel Saturday evening in the 6 to 6:30 PM segment or he may patch Lynn in to talk about Jewel for a couple minutes. Garrison is just good to listen to with his mellifluous voice and clever twists of humor. Lynn remembers being on one of his shows back in the early to mid 70’s. Garrison had asked his 2 or 3 -year-old son what he wanted to know about bears and then asked Lynn those questions. It was good.
